Here are some THEN and NOW aerial views of the remaining Runways and Taxiways, inspired by Paul Kowal. Administrator of The Uniondale, NY Group, Facebook Page.
Created 2018, Updated 2023 I have identified at least 6 areas of original concrete runway surfaces still in existence within the confines of all the modern construction developed since the base closed in 1961.

Most film historians agree that this was where the "Sonny Hit" from the Godfather was filmed. When I went to college at NCC in the mid 70s a security guard pointed me to this location. Photos below from Scouting NY.com
